Kim walked with volunteers in the Allendale Fourth of July Parade

A wonderful group of volunteers came out to the campus of Grand Valley State University to show their support for Kim! The group was excited and connected with the crowd very well. They walked by a 1951 Ford pick-up truck, handed out candy and post cards, and spoke with the spectators who came out for the festivities. The campaign partnered with Dennis Murphy's group, who is running for coongress in the second congressional district. Together we formed what is certainly the largest showing of demacratics in a parade in Ottawa county-- ever! Big thanks to our incredible volunteers. Stay tuned for the next events you can participate in!

Jenison Theater Department succeeds again

"Shrek: The Musical" was greeted by a welcoming audience on March 15th,  its opening night. The long awaited return of the Jenison Theater Department's spring musical resulted in a packed house and enthusiastic crowd. Kim is extremely proud to have been working with the student performers in this production as a Vocal Director.

The musical was performed in the Jenison Center for the Arts, the  community performing arts center on the corner of Bauer and 20th in Georgetown. The JCA was funded by a community millage in 2011. Kim worked to ensure the proposal would succeed by serving on the Citizen Committee for the JCA. From its origins to the life changing experiences Jenison High school students will have this week in "Shrek", Kim has seen the JCA serve the community and it's children.
